Studio Taddei designates the area of my work which
encompasses the decorative arts: Mural Painting, Faux
Finishes and Trompe l'Oeil. All of the samples you
will see in this section represent prototypes which
can be custom ordered to your own specifications and
individual needs at reasonable prices, based on
square footage, per diem, or depending on the
complexity of the design.

My interest and involvement with the decorative arts
began in 1968 while still in Architecture School at
Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, when I was introduced to
Edward Melcarth, an accomplished fine artist who was
beginning a grand mural project at the Hotel Pierre
in New York, and needed assistants. I was immediately
hired and subsequently was introduced to the heretofore
unknown worlds of Trompe l'Oeil and epic-scale
painting. Later, after a lengthy apprenticeship period
with such masters as Edgar Berne and Piero Yengo, I
incorporated my own artistic techniques and started my
own business in 1980.
